Project Overview

Elephant King Laundromat is a 7,400-square-foot interior buildout within a commercial shopping center, transforming an empty retail space into one of the region’s largest and most efficient self-service laundromats. As the third successful project completed for this operator, the project demonstrates Art of Construction’s ability to deliver complex, high-capacity laundry facilities with consistent quality and precision.

The complete interior renovation included the preparation and clearing of the existing space, installation of new electrical, plumbing, gas, and mechanical systems, reinforced concrete equipment pads, commercial laundry equipment installation, interior framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, custom millwork, premium flooring, architectural finishes, and all associated utility infrastructure required to support continuous high-volume operation.

Working closely with the owner throughout design and construction, Art of Construction optimized the facility layout to maximize equipment capacity while maintaining intuitive customer circulation, generous work areas, and efficient operational workflows. Every aspect of the project was carefully planned to create a durable, low-maintenance facility capable of serving a large customer base.

The completed laundromat features 72 commercial washers and 94 dryer pockets arranged within a spacious open floor plan featuring oversized folding stations, wide circulation aisles, abundant seating, self-service kiosks, modern customer amenities, and vibrant branded finishes. Bright LED lighting, contemporary materials, and bold architectural accents create an inviting customer experience while supporting efficient day-to-day operations.
