Project Overview

CRC – 3720 Nostrand Ave. was the complete buildout of a 5,200-square-foot self-service laundromat for Clean Rite Centers (CRC), one of the largest commercial laundromat operators in the New York City metropolitan area. The project transformed a former automotive repair facility into a modern, high-capacity laundry destination designed to deliver an exceptional customer experience while maximizing long-term operational efficiency. The scope of work included the complete removal of the former interior improvements, installation of all new electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, reinforced concrete equipment pads with integrated structural support for the commercial washers, installation of all laundry equipment, interior framing, drywall, flooring, decorative architectural finishes, and construction of a modern customer service area.

Art of Construction partnered closely with the ownership team from the earliest planning stages to develop an equipment layout that maximized machine capacity while maintaining efficient customer circulation throughout the facility. From preconstruction planning and permitting through final inspections and project closeout, our team managed every phase of construction, delivering a laundromat built to the highest standards of craftsmanship, durability, and long-term reliability.

The completed laundromat features 65 commercial washers and 38 stack dryers arranged within an open, thoughtfully designed floor plan that balances high-volume operation with customer comfort. Expansive folding stations, wide aisles, dedicated waiting areas, bright lighting, and strategically positioned equipment create an efficient and welcoming environment capable of serving a large customer base while supporting seamless day-to-day operations. Durable commercial finishes, robust mechanical systems, and a carefully coordinated layout ensure the facility is built to withstand the demands of continuous, high-volume use while minimizing long-term maintenance requirements.
