Project Overview

CRC – 2252 Forest Ave. was the complete buildout of a 5,900-square-foot self-service laundromat for Clean Rite Centers (CRC), one of the largest commercial laundromat operators in the New York City metropolitan area. The project transformed a former automotive repair facility into a modern, high-capacity laundry destination designed to accommodate heavy customer volume while providing a clean, comfortable, and efficient experience. The scope of work included the complete removal of the former interior improvements, installation of all new electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, reinforced concrete equipment pads with integrated structural support for the commercial washers, installation of all laundry equipment, interior framing, drywall, flooring, decorative architectural finishes, and construction of a full-service customer service and retail area.

Art of Construction partnered closely with the ownership team from the earliest planning stages to develop an equipment layout that maximized machine capacity while maintaining exceptional customer circulation and operational efficiency. From preconstruction planning and permitting through final inspections and project closeout, our team managed every phase of construction, delivering a durable, high-performance facility designed to support continuous, high-volume operation for one of New York City’s premier laundromat operators.

The completed laundromat features 85 commercial washers and 43 stack dryers arranged within an open, thoughtfully organized floor plan that maximizes throughput without sacrificing customer comfort. Large folding stations, generous aisle widths, comfortable lounge seating, a fully integrated customer service and retail area, card-operated payment systems, bright LED lighting, and strategically positioned equipment create an inviting environment that allows customers and attendants to move efficiently throughout the facility. Durable commercial finishes and robust mechanical systems ensure the laundromat is built to withstand years of demanding daily use while minimizing long-term maintenance requirements.
